Abstract
<jats:p>The monograph Language Teaching Practice in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: New Opportunities, Challenges and Threats explores the impact of AI on language education. The authors – researchers, teachers, and practitioners – discuss both the potential of AI in creating and adapting learning materials, supporting individualized instruction, and automating assessment, as well as its limitations in fostering authentic communication. The volume presents reflections on the evolving role of teachers, students’ attitudes toward AI, the development of future skills, teacher–student relations, assessment practices, cultural aspects, teaching pragmatics, the use of chatbots, and the application of AI in translator training and online language teaching.</jats:p>
