Abstract
<jats:p>This paper examines the destructive recycling of KU-2x8-Ag cation exchange resin, based on gas-phase processing in a nitrating atmosphere followed by chemical treatment of the conversion products. It has been shown that holding samples of the cation exchanger KU-2x8-Ag in an atmosphere of «HNO3 (vapor) - air» at temperatures of 130 °C and 150 °C for 24 hours, followed by dissolution of the conversion products in 0.5 mol∙L-1 NaOH and ozonation of the resulting solutions allows to carry out effective disposal of the cation exchanger KU-2x8-Ag.</jats:p>
