Abstract

The influence of microstructure evolution and accumulated strain on obtaining products of increased length and a specified cross-sectional shape was investigated. The technology of equal-channel angular pressing (ECAP) is considered. Due to ECAP, an increase in the yield strength and tensile strength occurs after repeated pressing cycles. Steel 08Kh18N10T (analog of AISI 304) was selected for the study. The paper presents mathematical simulation of the ECAP process using the QForm software, and analysis of microstructure evolution after a repeated extrusion cycle was carried out.
