Abstract
The article reflects a methodological approach to reducing topological complexity when analyzing the structure of individuals’ socio-network interaction in a small group, a close social-professional community, or a work team. The theoretical analysis of communications in a small group allows formulating a number of measurement approaches, illustrated by a set of examples. The scientific and practical novelty lies in the proof of the effectiveness of applying the graph method for analyzing the structure of a social group by reducing the necessary computational costs, the paper demonstrates the expediency of applying the graph method with constructing and analysing the social group graph. Based on the analysis, organizational and management recommendations are formulated for forming the composition and optimization of the structure of social groups and teams in the educational, social-professional environment, in corporate and industry association formats of activity. The proposed methodological recommendations are useful for forming educational and labour staff, allowing achieving the maximum compliance of management decisions with the tasks set, in particular, through selecting group members and optimizing the social group structure. For organizational systems, the findings are useful in terms of more adaptive human capital management and achieving management goals through building a social structure along with analyzing personal characteristics and features of interpersonal relationships.
