Abstract

The author has conducted an analysis of the editorial policy of a technical university journal, aimed at enhancing the journal reputation support while adhering to ethical standards and publishing guidelines; has analyzed the journal authors’ publication activity over a five-year period using materials from the Scientific Electronic Library. The paper presents the results of an expert assessment of the “Ergodesign” journal quality based on the Stenov criteria scale; provides statistical data for the five-year period, including the number of article views, downloads, citation probability after views, journal impact factors, Hirsch (h-index) indices, Herfindahl-Hirschman indices, and impact factors from the RSCI core without self-citations. The author has summarized data on the “Ergodesign” most cited articles, taking into account review metrics, views, collections, and downloads; has calculated Spearman’s rank correlation coefficients between the number of article citations and views, as well as between rating indicators of expert review, their inclusion in collections, and downloads. The work proposes a formula for calculating the weighted average reputation rating of articles; develops recommendations for improving the journal editorial policy based on the research findings.
