Abstract

The research aims to identify the potential of a foreign language teaching methodology for primary schools based on the principles of Waldorf pedagogy. The article describes the principles of wholeness (holism), feeling-accompanied learning, conformity to nature (natural development), and consideration of temperament, while providing specific methodological techniques for implementing these principles in the foreign language classroom for young learners. The scientific novelty of the study lies in formulating a comprehensive approach to primary school foreign language instruction grounded in Waldorf pedagogical theory. As a result of the study, it was established that the principles of Waldorf pedagogy can serve as the foundation for a methodology aimed at both linguistic speech development – rooted in an intuitive “sense of language” – and the holistic psychological development of the child’s creative personality, encompassing intellectual, sensory, and emotional-volitional (motivational) aspects.
