Abstract
The purpose of the work is to investigate the possibility of preserving and reproducing the texts of modern Ukrainian experimental operas (opera aperta) with an open plot, the libretto of which changes from production to production, depending on the historical context, audience, stage and the use of interactive elements. Methodology: used textual methods and analysis of open sources (OSINT), historical-comparative method, method of analysis and synthesis. Scientific novelty. For the first time, criteria of sufficiency for the preservation of experimental operas with an open plot were developed, and methodological guidelines were provided for the processes of organizing preservation and reproduction. We improved our available knowledge about methods of deconstruction of texts in "opera aperta" performances. The study of the texts of modern experimental operas with an open plot in the traditions of post-dramatic theater has gained further development. Conclusions. The conducted analysis showed that experimental operas, despite their open character, changes from production to production, and the absence of a libretto in the traditional sense of the word, have unchanged textual elements – first of all, this is the justification of the concept of the work (which were made on the project website, in an interview mass media and on the pages of social networks), which gives the opportunity to restore the author's idea with the help of a variable substrate. In the construction of operas with an open plot, fragments of classical texts (musical and literary) and folk motifs are used, references to which make it possible to re-deconstruct according to the instructions contained in the concept. An important element is also the storage of videos from productions, because the key point in the deconstruction is the visual series, in which the scenery, costumes and plastic of the heroes are not just auxiliary means, but an essential element of the work, which determine its specificity and the possibility of further preservation and reproduction. Practical implications. The conducted research makes it possible to facilitate the preservation of cultural heritage and solve the problems of future reproduction of operas with an open plot. Value/originality. The research has value for specialists in the preservation of cultural heritage, cultural studies in general and can be used in teaching activities.
