In the case of the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO), strengthening the social appropriation of the collection through communication is a key action to ensure that the documentary heritage is properly valued and preserved-not only by the academic community, but also by visitors and the wider public.</jats:p>
