Abstract
<jats:p>The monograph is devoted to a comprehensive study of the problems and prospects of oil-containing waste management in the oil and gas sector of Kazakhstan in the context of sustainable development. The work examines the theoretical foundations of waste management, analyzes modern processing technologies, reviews foreign and domestic experience, identifies regional peculiarities, and develops practical recommendations for improving legislative, organizational, and technological mechanisms. Special attention is paid to the financial and economic substantiation of waste utilization, the development of a methodology for assessing the environmental responsibility of enterprises, and the formulation of programs to enhance environmental performance. Using the Tengiz field as a case study, waste management practices are analyzed, highlighting both achievements and existing challenges. Specific measures are proposed to improve legislation, introduce innovative technologies (pyrolysis, catalytic depolymerization, plasma gasification), and increase corporate environmental responsibility. The information presented in this book may be useful for government authorities, oil and gas companies, as well as researchers, educators, and students studying issues of environmental safety and sustainable development.</jats:p>
