Abstract
<jats:p>The course “The Life and Creation Works of G. K. Chesterton” is one of the components of the professional training for students of the Faculty of History and Philology at St. Tikhon's Orthodox University (PSTGU), studying in the field of graduate program 45.04.01 Philology (specialization “English Language and Literature of English-Speaking Countries”). The course aims to broaden the knowledge of graduate students in the history of the English literature by getting acquainted them with the historical and biographical context, the range of themes and problematics of the works of one of the most prominent English Christian writers of the early 20th-century, G. K. Chesterton. The particular attention in the study of the course is paid to the novels of G. K. Chesterton, as works in which the author's system of religious and philosophical views is most fully reflected.</jats:p>
