Abstract
<jats:p>The book is the result of various studies conducted by the authors in recent years. The state of water resources and biodiversity requires immediate action. Improving national water management systems based on modern technologies and international cooperation in water management helps combat environmental and climate threats to the socio-economic development of regions. The authors examine the state of affairs in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals in Russia, analyze the implementation of a number of projects in the field of water management, present foreign experience in economic regulation of water use, study the practice of developing water management programs, and reveal issues of sustainable tourism and water safety. The information presented in the book can be used by both government agencies and commercial structures and investors when considering water management projects, developing water tourism, and maintaining safety on water bodies</jats:p>
