Abstract

<jats:p>This article considers the challenges associated with teaching written speech to foreign students studying Russian as a foreign language at an elementary level. The article draws attention to the peculiarities of the written form of language as a means of communicative activities, thus establishing it as a significant aspect of the teaching of Russian as a foreign language. It provides several practical exercises designed to develop students' analytical skills. The exercises are intended to enhance student motivation to study and contribute to the development of communicative competence</jats:p>
