Abstract

<jats:p>This monograph is devoted to journalism and publicism of the first period of the French Revolution (from the storming of the Bastille to the fall of the monarchy). It describes in detail the main historical stages of revolutionary events, on the background of which a panorama of periodicals unfolds: the royalist press, constitutionalist newspapers, publications of future Girondins, leaflets of radical journalists. The story about each publication is provided with detailed biographical information about its publisher. The title of the monograph is a quote from the newspaper “French Revolutions” (publisher - Louis-Marie Prud'homme). The monograph is addressed to students, postgraduate students, teachers of higher educational institutions, as well as to all those interested in the history and culture of the French Revolution.</jats:p>
