Abstract
<jats:p>Мультимедиа-опера “Curiosity” (композитор Н. Попов, драматург Т. Рахманова, режиссер А. Смирнов) — сочинение, в котором многообразно проявляется стремление к современности. Опера названа по имени марсохода, а в ее основном сюжете отображается его космическая миссия от запуска (2011) и «до сего дня» — премьеры третьей редакции оперы (2022). Другой сюжетный план посвящен вопросу о сущности современной оперы. Идеям новейшего времени отвечают текст либретто, музыкальный язык и собственно мультимедийный жанр, однако в музыкальный ряд встроены цитаты из произведений Л. Бетховена, Дж. Верди, Р. Вагнера, И. Стравинского и Д. Лигети. В статье рассматриваются способы существования и роль указанных цитат в опере; анализ позволяет прийти к ряду выводов. 1. Музыкальные цитаты в мультимедиа-опере “Curiosity” делятся на две группы, в связи с их драматургическим значением и способом включения в контекст: ироничные и серьезные. 2. Каждая цитата включается в авторский музыкальный текст особым образом: по коллажно-дискретному принципу, как виртуальная цитата, аллюзия или автоцитата с двойным цитированием. 3. Духу современной оперы (как ее трактует автор “Curiosity”) наиболее отвечает цитата из «Весны священной» Стравинского.</jats:p> <jats:p>Multimedia opera Curiosity (composer Nikolai Popov, playwright Tatyana Rakhmanova, director Alexei Smirnov) is a work which strives to be contemporary in every way. The plot, centered on the Mars rover, is based on the events of recent years (from 2011 to 2022, from the launch of the spacecraft to the premiere of the third version). One of the questions that the work raises concerns the essence of the modern opera. The text of the libretto and the musical language reflect the ideas of the newest time. At the same time, five quotations from the music of composers of the 19 th and 20 th centuries are integrated into the musical score of the multimedia opera: G. Ligeti, G. Verdi, R. Wagner, L. van Beethoven, as well as I. Stravinsky. The article examines how the musical quotations function and their role in the composition. Analysis of the musical and plot context of quotes allows us to come to a number of conclusions. Firstly, musical quotations in the multimedia opera Curiosity are divided into two groups, based on their dramaturgical significance and the manner of their integration: ironic and serious. Secondly, each quotation is incorporated into the author’s text in an individual way: according to the collage-discrete principle, as a virtual quote, an allusion or a self-quotation involving double citation. Finally, the consideration of the quotations in Curiosity reveals that the fragment of The Rite of Spring by Stravinsky is the one most in keeping with the spirit of contemporary opera (and contemporary music in general).</jats:p>
