Abstract
<jats:p>Статья посвящена перспективам развития Оленинского округа Тверской области. Эти места являются родиной двух российских просветителей и единомышленников: свт. Николая Япон-ского и Сергея Александровича Рачинского. Особое внимание уделено усадьбе Рачинских в Татево, которая разрушается с каждым годом. Автор обосновывает историческое значение региона для отечественной культуры и приводит аргументы в пользу того, что регион, сильнейшим образом пострадавший во время Великой Отечественной войны, будет возрождаться в ближайшие годы.</jats:p> <jats:p>The article explores the development prospects for the Oleninsky District in Tver Oblast. This re-gion is the birthplace of two prominent Russian educators and close associates: Saint Nicholas of Japan and Sergey Alexandrovich Rachinsky. Particular attention is paid to the Rachinsky family es-tate in Tatevo, which is deteriorating year by year. The author underscores the historical significance of the region for Russian culture and presents arguments supporting the anticipated revival of this area—severely affected during the Great Patriotic War—in the coming years.</jats:p>
