Abstract
<jats:p>В статье предпринята попытка реконструирования интеллектуальной биографии первого дипломированного этнографа из якутского народа С.И. Николаева – Сомоготто, излагаются вехи его научной деятельности, выделены основные темы изысканий, связанные с обоснованием концепции автохтонного происхождения якутского народа и активное использование им междисциплинарного подхода. Дается оценка ему как ученому и личности, его коммуникациям со своими учителями – ведущими учеными страны. Рассмотрена популяризация им фундаментальных исследований и его опыт просветительства среди населения, подчеркнут высокий уровень востребованности его научного наследия.</jats:p> <jats:p>The aim of this article is to reconstruct, based on archival documents, the biography of the ethnographer, author of the concept of the autochthonous origin of the Yakut people, Candidate of Historical Sciences Semen Ivanovich Nikolaev – Somogotto. The methodological basis was intellectual history, successfully developed under the leadership of L.P. Repina, in particular, new biography and microhistory. The main stages of his scientific activity are considered, the main topics of research related to the substantiation of the concept of the autochthonous origin of the Yakut people using an interdisciplinary approach are highlighted. An assessment is given of the personality of Somogotto and his communications with his teachers, scientists and the population.</jats:p>
