Abstract
<jats:p>Рассмотрение семантических принципов распределения суффиксов -пэ, -пул и предположений о двойственном и паукальном числе обусловили цель исследования – изучение особенностей употребления суффиксов -пэ, -пул, в основном, на материале языка тундренных юкагиров. В исследовании использованы описательный и сравнительно-сопоставительный методы, структурно-морфологический анализ, семантический метод. В результате, проанализированы собственные имена с суффиксом -пэ, нарицательные имена уорпэ ‘дети’, пайпэ ‘женщина’, кэйпэ ‘мужчина’. Определено, что современном языке тундренных юкагиров суффикс -пэ передает значение аддитивного множественного числа, обозначая отдельные субъекты, суффикс -пул маркирует коллективное множественное число.</jats:p> <jats:p>In the Yukaghir languages, the phonetic and semantic distribution of the plural suffixes -pe and -pul is examined. V.I. Iokhelson wrote about the probable existence of a dual number, the indicator of which was assumed to be the suffix -pe and noted that the -pe joined in the count of up to five referents. This feature, in turn, can show the marking of paucal number. The aim of the study is to consider the semantic principles of distribution of the suffixes -pe, -pul and the assumptions about the dual and paucal number, and to research the peculiarities of use of the suffixes -pe, -pul, mainly on the Tundra Yukaghirs’ language materials. The study used descriptive and comparative methods, structural and morphological analysis, and semantic method. As a result, anthroponyms with suffix -pe, common nouns uorpe ‘children’, paipe ‘woman’, kepe ‘man’ were analyzed. It has been determined that in the modern language of the Tundra Yukaghirs, the suffix -pe conveys the meaning of the additive plural form, denoting individual referents, while the suffix -pul marks the collective plural form.</jats:p>
