Abstract
<jats:p>В статье рассматривается проблема формирования поликультурной компетенции будущих экономистов в процессе изучения дисциплины «Иностранный язык» в условиях высшего образования. Теоретической основой исследования является определение поликультурной компетенции, предложенное В. В. Лысенко, акцентирующее внимание на практическом опыте поликультурного взаимодействия и развитии личностных качеств обучающихся. Анализируется структура поликультурной компетенции, включающая языковой, коммуникативный, лингвокультурный и профессиональный компоненты. Особое внимание уделяется содержательному и методическому потенциалу учебного пособия Business English for Economists. Обосновывается роль тематической организации курса и системы заданий в формировании поликультурной компетенции будущих экономистов. Представлены элементы научной новизны и практической значимости исследования, связанные с интеграцией профессионально-ориентированного обучения иностранному языку и деятельностного подхода к формированию поликультурной компетенции.</jats:p> <jats:p>The article addresses the issue of developing multicultural competence of future economists in the process of teaching a foreign language in higher education. The theoretical framework of the study is based on the definition of multicultural competence proposed by V. V. Lysenko, which emphasizes practical experience of multicultural interaction and the development of students’ personal qualities. The structure of multicultural competence is analyzed, including linguistic, communicative, linguocultural, and professional components. Special attention is given to the content-related and methodological potential of the students’ book Business English for Economists. The study substantiates the role of the course thematic structure and task system in developing multicultural competence of future economists. Scientific novelty and practical significance of the research are associated with the integration of professionally oriented foreign language teaching and a competence-based, activity-oriented approach.</jats:p>
