Abstract
The exhibition "Building Equality: Visualizing Experiences" is conceived as an artistic and reflective proposal that, through photography and painting—languages capable of challenging, questioning, and reinterpreting gender representations—addresses equality as a fundamental axis for building more just, inclusive, and democratic societies. The works gathered in this catalogue engage in dialogue from diverse sensibilities, contexts, and visual languages, offering a pluralistic perspective on the experiences, challenges, and resistance that permeate gender identities in the contemporary world, inviting the viewer to observe what has historically been silenced, naturalized, or relegated to the margins of the dominant gaze.
