Abstract

Reading is an essential activity for personal and social development, key to acquiring knowledge, cultural transmission, and collective progress. Therefore, teaching, learning, and promoting reading constitute an area of interdisciplinary interest within a multimodal and ever-changing context. This collaborative book, situated within this framework, brings together fifteen chapters organized into four thematic sections. These chapters aim to revitalize reading and writing, promote inclusion and attention to diversity, and critically and creatively integrate digital technologies into education. The work gathers proposals, research, and experiences ranging from reading promotion and dyslexia to digital resources, scientific dissemination, and the relationship between literature and society, thus offering a pluralistic and innovative vision that invites us to rethink reading practices as integrative tools for addressing the educational and cultural challenges of the 21st century.
