Design scenarios in the face of the pandemic as a social phenomenon: before, during and after, the unfinished task

<jats:p>Reflecting on the work of the design discipline in light of the pandemic, which has existed for decades, leads, as will be seen in this text, to consider a practice that has not yet reached its full potential. Its development has been limited, focusing on design as a means of configuring forms for industry, thus promoting commercialization and consumption. Therefore, design needs to unleash its full potential, this time as a discipline capable of contributing to the improvement of relevant human problems of various kinds, regardless of formal configuration.</jats:p>
