Abstract
<jats:p>The monograph “Synergy of Linguistic Means Aimed at Implementing Epistemic Modality in Scientific Discourse (based on the material of the English, Ukrainian and German languages)” is designed for higher education students majoring in “Philology”, teachers of German and Slavic languages, as well as linguists of a wide profile. The theoretical corpus is built on the scientific basis of means enabling the actualization of epistemic modality, covering current issues in the field of linguistics (category of linguistic modality, popular scientific discourse, lexical and grammatical construct, prosody, etc.). The authors present the results of an experimental-phonetic study related to prosodic means which provide for actualizing epistemic modality in popular scientific discourse alongside the linguistic interpretation of the obtained data.</jats:p>
