Abstract

<jats:p>This article examines contemporary priorities of education in the system of professional choreographic training. The author analyzes the evolution of educational theory in Russian pedagogy, from the classical ideas by K.D. Ushinsky, A.S. Makarenko, and V.A. Sukhomlinsky to contemporary concepts that take into account the challenges of globalization and information warfare. Particular attention is paid to the specificity in ballet danc-ers training where the educational process seamlessly combines professional mastery with aesthetic, moral, ethical, health protection, and civic principles. Innovative methods (project-based technologies, digital tools, and student-centered approach) and the role of the educator as a mentor are explored. It is emphasized that the development of civic identity and traditional spiritual and moral values is considered as a factor in national security. The importance of the educational practices integrating for developing a multifaceted personality ca-pable to convey the highest standards of Russian art and to serve the society is substantiated.</jats:p>
