Abstract

This article examines the role of emotions in learning a foreign language, which is often underestimated due to the dominance of cognitively oriented and structural paradigms that focus on grammar and measurable learn-ing outcomes. Two new methods of teaching a foreign language in a bilingual environment are proposed: Method of activating cognitive abilities (MAX) and its modification, Method of Intensifying cognitive functions in the process of collective interaction (MICFvPKZ). The methodological basis of the study is an integrative ap-proach, including a synthesis of linguacognitive concepts of emotional processes with a constructive interpreta-tion of S. Krashen’s hypothesis on the influence of emotional state on language acquisition, as well as G.I. Kolesnikova’s theoretical model, which describes the structure and mechanisms of developing effective learning. As a result, it was concluded that the use of the complex of developed methods ensures a deeper acquisition of language skills and an increase in the effectiveness of the acquisition of language competencies by students.
