Abstract
The transformation of traditional Tuvan society is characterized by complex changes that affect all aspects of social life. Following the implementation of collectivization policies and the shift toward a sedentary lifestyle, substantial alterations in the personal orientations of the Tuvans have occurred. Traditional forms of farming, work styles, and family relationships have begun to evolve under the influence of new economic models and social norms. The article presents data from sociological surveys conducted in the Republic of Tuva in 2022 and 2023. The study examines the change in value orientations of the Tuvans in the modern period, which is driven by multiple factors such as globalization, urbanization, economic transformation, and social processes. It is emphasized that existing traditional values may intersect with novel values borrowed from other cultures. This leads to a synthesis of old and new forms of life both in the household sphere and in interpersonal rela-tionships. Particular attention is paid to the fact that modern transformations of the Tuvan value system result from complex interactions between traditional and new influences, thereby creating a unique context for the further development of their culture.
