Abstract
<p dir="ltr">Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) has been associated with numerous benefits, including lowering HgbA1c, reducing hypoglycemia, and improving patient engagement with diabetes self-care (1). However, CGM access remains an issue, especially among under-/uninsured patients in safety-net health systems (2,5). Clinic-owned professional CGM (pro-CGM) offers a lower-cost option providing short-term (10-14 days) access to CGM. Pro-CGM shows benefits in facilitating lifestyle/medication adjustments and improving glycemic control regardless of baseline diabetes therapies (3). This study examined the impact of a pro-CGM pilot on access to diabetes technology, glycemic control, and engagement with self-care practices within a safety-net diabetes clinic.</p>
