Abstract

The formation of stones in the salivary gland duct system is called sialolithiasis, with the submandibular gland being the most commonly affected. Submandibular stones are typically located in Wharton's duct, while parotid stones are more frequently located in the glandular parenchyma. Treatment depends on the location and size of the stone. The objective of this article is to demonstrate a case of submandibular sialolithiasis treatment, with the sialolith removed intraorally, and to conduct a brief literature review.
