Abstract

Regular human presence in cyberspace is becoming one of the basic needs of modern times. Therefore, the blogosphere is actively developing today, including among the Nenets. This article examines the Nenets bloggers’ content, compares some of them with Nenets historical heroes, provides a brief overview of the texts, highlights the main areas and topics of blogs, and draws parallels between the content and traditional way of life. The author pays special attention to the work of Makar Okotetto, the young poet and novelist, and studies his texts using the method of philosophical anthropology by V. A. Podoroga. As a result, it was possible to identify patterns of aboriginal knowledge previously described by the Australian researcher T. Yunkaporta. The article provides parallels between the aboriginal knowledge woven into the Okotetto’s texts and academic knowledge. The paper notes the transformation of Nenets folklore through blogging into an internetlore, the new form of post-folklore. It is also important to note that the majority of the indigenous peoples of the North, including the Nenets, already live in towns and cities at the current historical stage, as life itself and official statistics tell us, and this trend continues. Do the Nenets cease to be nomads after moving or even being born in the city? The issues of self-identification and the dynamics of the identity of the peoples of the North, their perception by society and the authorities in the new realities are becoming increasingly relevant. What worldview constructs are core to nomads, and what new challenges do they face? These issues are of interest for the interpretation of ethnocultural processes. The main purpose of the study is to find the initial characteristics of the modern Nenets people identity related to adaptation to urban life and maintaining a stable connection with traditional life. The problem under consideration requires further study due to permanent changes in their high rate and intensity.
