Abstract
<jats:p>The critical review of the latest guidelines of world most valuable task force team of American Thyroid Association was presented by well-known Ukrainian endocrine surgeon. Evolution of principles of management for differentiated thyroid cancer within last decades was analyzed. There has been stressed the importance of new predictive approach — revised prognostic chart, dynamic risk assessment based on response to initial treatment, as well as reasonable and individualized attitude to radioiodine, the use of suppressive thyroxine therapy in thyroid cancer patients. The new horizons of genetically based targeted therapy in patients with advanced differentiated carcinoma were overviewed.</jats:p>
