Сприяння розвитку вищої військової освіти через впровадження професійних стандартів та рамок кваліфікацій [Promoting the Development of Higher Military Education Through the Introduction of Occupational Standards and Qualifications Frameworks]

<jats:p>This work aims to assess the fundamental principles underlying the utilization of occupational standards and sectoral frameworks of qualifications in higher military education in Ukraine.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Through a desk review, it is established that occupational standards articulate the competencies essential for specific professional activities. Higher military educational institutions are urged to prioritize the cultivation of these competencies, irrespective of the educational process's format (in-person or remote).&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Of particular note is the European Sectoral Qualifications Framework for the Military Officer Profession (SQF-MILOF) [8], a pivotal tool bridging education and training opportunities across EU countries. The SQF-MILOF facilitates program comparisons, easing the recognition of equivalent training completed in different countries. This, in turn, fosters the exchange of professional education, contributing to the development of a shared security and defense culture.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;This study contends that leveraging professional standards and sectoral frameworks in higher military education holds substantial potential for enhancing the quality of military specialists' training, particularly in the context of distance education. This assumes heightened importance amid the unprecedented transformations in Ukraine's military paradigm amidst real military operations. To optimize efficiency, proactive consideration of potential issues, the implementation of safeguards, and the development of effective mitigation strategies are imperative.</jats:p>
