Abstract
<jats:p>Статья посвящена анализу публицистической деятельности западноармянского национального деятеля, писателя и публициста Вагана Текеяна в 1920–1945 гг. в контексте советизации Армении и русской ориентации. В статье предпринята попытка обосновать, что публицистика Текеяна, динамично переходя от романтизма к реализму, развивалась вокруг идейных осей и дилемм сохранения национальной государственности и спасения Родины. Анализируется, как Текеян оценивает опыт Первой Республики Армения в условиях сложной и противоречивой геополитической ситуации, а также каким образом он видит влияние советизации Первой Республики на перспективы освобождения Западной Армении. Статья раскрывает изменения в восприятии образа и роли России в западноармянском мышлении и роль западноармянской либерально-демократической прессы в этом процессе.</jats:p> <jats:p>The article explores the publicist work of the Western Armenian national figure, writer, and publicist Vahan Tekeyan from 1920 to 1945, within the context of the Sovietization of Armenia and pro-Russian orientation. The article attempts to substantiate that Tekeyan’s publicism, dynamically shifting from romanticism towards realism, developed around the ideological axes and dilemmas of preserving national statehood and saving the homeland. It analyzes how Tekeyan evaluates the experience of the First Republic of Armenia amidst complex and contradictory geopolitical developments, and how he perceives the impact of the Sovietization of the First Republic on the political line regarding the liberation of Western Armenia. The article also reveals the evolving perceptions of Russia’s image and role within Western Armenian thought and the role played by the Western Armenian liberal-democratic press in shaping this transformation.</jats:p>
