Abstract
At the current stage of neurorehabilitation development, it is necessary to actively implement systems to support the work of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team (MDRT) in terms of formulating a rehabilitation diagnosis, which can help MDRT specialists to get a better idea of the problems of patients who have suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI), including a description of the state of functioning and limitations of life activities, the influence of environmental factors and personal factors. This will help MDRT specialists in formulating a rehabilitation diagnosis, assessing the rehabilitation potential, which will ensure high efficiency of rehabilitation measures aimed primarily at restoring lost functions and improving the quality of life. Purpose: to determine the main categories of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) that make up the rehabilitation diagnosis in patients with TBI. Materials and methods. The theoretical basis for the interdisciplinary work of MDRT specialists should be the ICF Core Set. The ICF Core Set contains a short list of ICF categories needed to describe the level of functioning of a patient with a given health condition, such as TBI. The ICF Core Set for adult patients with TBI, approved by WHO specialists and posted on the website https://www.icf-core-sets.org. Results. For adult patients with TBI, the ICF Core Set can be comprehensive or brief. The website does not provide the ICF Core Sets translated into Russian. When comparing the ICF Core Sets with the Russian version of the ICF, it was found that the brief ICF Core Set for adult patients with TBI contains 23 ICF categories. It was found that there was a need to make additions to the initially selected set of ICF domains and categories. Conclusion. The ICF evaluates all changes in functioning and limitations of life activities associated with changes in health in patients with TBI. The principles laid down in the ICF should be used when establishing a rehabilitation diagnosis by MDRT specialists. Establishing a rehabilitation diagnosis based on the ICF principles is a key moment in determining short-term and long-term goals for patients with TBI by MDRC specialists, as well as for assessing the rehabilitation potential and prognosis, drawing up an individual medical rehabilitation plan and further recommendations. The proposed method for establishing a rehabilitation diagnosis using the «Program for establishing a rehabilitation diagnosis in patients with traumatic brain injury (ICF-TBI) » will help reduce the time spent on drawing up a rehabilitation diagnosis by MDRT specialists and will increase the availability of the ICF for health care workers involved in the treatment and rehabilitation of patients with TBI.
