A Classification of Means of Using Information and Communications Technologies to Commit Crimes

<jats:p>The article reviews a relevant problem of a classification of means of committing crimes with the use of information and communications technologies. The author singles out the key aspects of the reviewed crime elements and brings forward a universal classification of means of committing crimes that includes criteria of remoteness of the attacked device and methods of impact. Special attention is paid to the criminalistic importance of means of committing a crime as an element that defines the mechanism and the trace situation in the digital environment.</jats:p>
