Strategic Lawsuits in Russia and Some Foreign Countries

<jats:p>The article examines the objectives, subject matter, advantages, and disadvantages of strategic lawsuits as a means of establishing legal precedents and amending legislation to draw attention to non-compliance with the law. The Volzhsky Terminal case is used as an example to illustrate the potential for changing bankruptcy legislation following the consideration of a specific dispute by an arbitration court. The need to counter SLAPP lawsuits is emphasized.</jats:p>
