Abstract
<jats:p>This article is devoted to the study of the contours of the Russian global project, which are beginning to be outlined in Russia's foreign policy, in official foreign policy documents. The focus of the research is on the need to strengthen the national identity of the Russian Federation and, as a result, to reveal its strategic culture, which will make it possible to conduct foreign policy considering national interests, the preservation of national security and the conduct of national defense. It was noted that understanding the concept of strategic culture allows for deeper and more meaningful foreign policy relations with other states, optimally defending their interests and needs. The purpose of this study is to study strategic planning documents to identify and comprehend the main features of the global project of the Russian Federation proposed by government agencies, in addition, the points of view of the scientific community and civil society are analyzed. Qualitative content and discourse analyses, as well as document analysis, were used to solve this research problem. An important cross-section in the study was the identification of the scientific basis of the Russian global project and the systematization of works on this topic. As a conclusion, measures are proposed to improve the foreign policy course of the Russian Federation, considering the specifics of the national strategic culture.</jats:p>
