Abstract
<jats:p>This article examines specific issues related to the operations of foreign multinational corporations within the current legal framework of the Russian Federation. Using a specific country as an example, the author, guided by the results of an analysis and synthesis of current theoretical, analytical, and legislative sources, describes and analyzes the current situation developing in the global economic arena regarding the activities of subsidiaries of transnational corporations of the People’s Republic of China, identifies the prospects for their activities within the territory and under the jurisdiction of the Russian Federation, highlights threats to the country’s national interests in this sphere, and formulates the fundamental principles of mutually beneficial cooperation based on mutual consideration of the parties’ interests and adherence to the principles of fairness, transparency, and mutual responsibility.</jats:p>
