Abstract

<p style="text-align: justify;">The topic of difficult life situations is becoming more and more relevant in modern psychology as the complexity and uncertainty of the surrounding world increase. The development of the problem of how a person copes with critical situations and everyday stresses leads to the emergence of the concept of coping behavior, which has been the subject of numerous studies in foreign and domestic psychology. Typical for these studies is the emphasis on personal factors that determine the effectiveness of coping behavior, and the actual disregard of the context of difficult life situations, the specifics of these situations themselves, which was largely due to the lack of elaboration of the topic of situations. Modern psychology is characterized by a shift in attention to human interaction with the conditions and features of the surrounding reality, which requires reliance on socio-psychological approaches and the development of research solutions aimed at studying human interaction with the social and situational context.</p>
