Abstract
<jats:p><p>The article examines the role of digital technologies in ensuring the accessibility of educational content for students with severe visual impairments in the learning process of mathematical and computer disciplines. Special attention is paid to the analysis of modern assistive technologies used in higher education for teaching students with disabilities. The paper describes a software package developed at the Faculty of Information Technology for the preparation of educational materials in relief-point and auditory forms accessible to blind students. The article reflects innovative directions of using artificial intelligence for the verbal description of graphic objects (graphs of functions, flowcharts, etc.), navigation in electronic educational content, as well as in the preparation of original layouts of tactile images. The article shows that the success of using inclusive forms of education for students with severe visual impairments is ensured, among other things, by the development of such areas as: technical equipment of the educational process with assistive technologies; adaptation of forms of presentation of educational content; development of appropriate modern pedagogical approaches.</p></jats:p>
