Permafrost Deposits as Archaeological Environment

<jats:p>Permafrost represents a specifi c archaeological environment. Th is book describes the specifi cs of permafrost deposits important for archaeological research. For the fi rst time ever, the book summarizes the experience, based on particular cases (e.g., Zhokhov site, Upper Paleolithic Yana site complex, and other archaeological sites in Arctic East Siberia) used as examples of potential strategies for fi eld research in permafrost areas.
