Abstract

<jats:p>The purpose of the study is to analyze the role of patriotism as a semantic factor in the effectiveness of professional adaptation of internal affairs officers. Theoretical and methodological basis and research methods. The theoretical and methodological basis of the research consists of the axiological approach, the activity approach, the system-structural and socio-psychological approaches. The results of the study. It is shown that patriotism is a semantic core in the professional activities of law enforcement officers. At the same time, patriotism acts as a resource for successful professional adaptation. It is proved that patriotism cannot be static, it requires constant support and development through a system of targeted influences, the personal example of a leader, the formation of professional culture and socio-psychological conditions. The results of the study have both theoretical and practical significance. From a theoretical point of view, the work contributes to the development of ideas about the role of patriotism in the personnel management system of law enforcement agencies, reveals the mechanisms of its influence on the effectiveness of management and the processes of professional adaptation. From a practical point of view, the proposed measures can be used by the heads and specialists of the internal affairs bodies to improve personnel work. The prospects for the research are related to the development of specific technologies and methods of patriotic education of police officers at various stages of their professional development, the study of regional specifics of the formation of patriotic values, the analysis of foreign experience of patriotic education in law enforcement agencies and the possibilities of its adaptation to Russian conditions.</jats:p>
