Abstract

<jats:p>Anselms Cur Deus homo is one of the most influential theological writings of the Middle Ages, yet modern scholarship has often viewed it with suspicion. Jonathan Flämig demonstrates that many objections lose their validity once the treatise is read through the lens of Anselms concept of order, thereby rehabilitating his doctrine of atonement.</jats:p>
