<jats:p>Wolfgang Kahl deals with general right of liberty in the German constitution, Article 2 Sub-Section 1. He takes a look at this provision from the perspective of competing fundamental rights. Taking the general right of personality (protection of privacy) as an example, he gives a critical examination of the judicial decisions of the Bundesverfassungsgericht and the systematic fundamental understanding which is expressed in them, either explicity or implicitly.</jats:p>
