Abstract
<jats:p>This chapter focuses on the challenges of artistic translation of a musical work, explored through Sergei Prokofiev's Alexander Nevsky Cantata, Op. 78, and its translation into Polish. The article addresses issues in analyzing the musical score and the translational relationships between the Russian and Polish versions of the cantata. It also describes the history of the cantata's creation, identifies its key features, and discusses the contextual interaction with the vocal performance of the work in Polish. The study results contribute to a deeper understanding of artistic translation and its role in the musicallexical context.</jats:p>
