Abstract

<jats:p>In this article, using the NuShellX@MSU code and the F742PN interaction in the f7pn-shell model space, the nuclear shell model is employed to calculate the energy levels and electromagnetic transition probability for the 42,43Sc isotopes. The 42,43Sc isotope’s electromagnetic transition probability and energy level results are generally in reasonable agreement with the available experimental data. A comparison of the theoretical results and the experimental data shows that the use of the nuclear shell model utilizing the interaction F742PN is successful within the f7pn-shell.</jats:p>
