Abstract
This book highlights significant periods and eras in Ukrainian history from the Middle Ages to the present day. It examines the complex and diverse intertwining of issues related to the interpretation of the past at the intersection of science, culture, politics, and other factors and preconditions that have led to the creation of well-known images and myths of national history. It shows the ambiguity of reading, interpreting, and interpreting history in the light of the diverse visions, views, and concepts of historians, humanities scholars, and well-known Ukrainian figures. It is noted that the images and myths of the past and its individual periods and eras are closely linked to historical narratives that arose in the context of the demands, attitudes, values, needs, and models of a particular time. For scholars, graduate students, undergraduates, and anyone interested in the history of Ukraine.
