Abstract

The monograph represents the territorial dimension of the study of ukrainian socio-cultural space as a marker of identity and a basic element of constructing consolidation symbols that act as a powerful driving force of historical progress. The main ontological guideline of the work is the institutionalization of the concept of "identity space" as an algorithm for understanding ukrainian spatial-identification strategies in historical retrospect and understanding the origins of modern regional problems. Using geohistorical and geocultural approaches, the phenomenon of historical regionalization of ukrainian territory is considered and the influence of spatial factors on the formation of the civilizational chronotope of the ukrainian nation is analyzed. From the standpoint of geospatial paradigms, the trends of global regionalization in modeling modern security strategies are highlighted and the geostrategic potential of new spatial thinking is actualized, the basis of which is the fixation of geopolitical risks of historical experience and the possibility of timely response to them. In the context of military challenges, theoretical models are proposed for optimizing state policy in the field of establishing ukrainian identity, ensuring sustainable spatial development, and shaping the security environment of Ukraine
