Abstract
<jats:p>THE UNIVERSITY OF RZESZÓW’S “SCENA PROPOZYCJI” – AN ORIGINAL VISUAL THEATER PRODUCTIONThis article documents the history of “Scena Propozycji” at the University of Rzeszów, an academic theater whose design and repertoire are the work of visual artist and set designer Prof. Janusz Pokrywka. This theater boasts a history spanning over forty years, though this text focuses on its activities beginning in 2013, when it came under the auspices of the University. It draws on the tradition of student theaters, and its cast includes both professional actors – often with significant stage experience – and complete amateurs; various types of puppets and marionettes are also frequently used. It is distinguished by its own unique character, determined by its visual form, which combines various fields of art.</jats:p>
