Abstract
The main objective of the analysis was to identify the vocational and qualification needs of Podlaskie employers that cannot be met through formal vocational education. The research focused on the vocational and qualification needs of the manufacturing, transport, and warehousing sectors, which are essential to the economy of Podlaskie Voivodeship. The authors assumed that there is a qualification and competence mismatch in the regional labor market, which negatively impacts the development of the analyzed sectors. Non-formal education, due to its greater flexibility, can support faster adaptation of qualifications and competencies to economic needs than formal education. The analysis used qualitative methods, including desk research, in-depth individual interviews with training voucher operators in the region, focus group interviews with entrepreneurs and representatives of employers’ organizations, and telephone in-depth interviews with representatives of validating and certifying institutions.
