Abstract

An important element determining the positive experience of users of a given product or system is information architecture. The organisation of content, labeling, as well as navigation and search systems are the four pillars that affect functionality and usability, and, consequently, also recipients’ satisfaction. Good information architecture helps people understand their environment and find what they are looking for – both offline and online. This monograph consists of a collection of texts that are the result of studies by authors concerned with the issues of information architecture in its practical and research aspects. Among the discussed issues, we can distinguish, inter alia, analyses of the use of artificial intelligence technology in the design process; studies of user experiences and the relationships between the system and its user; data security or descriptions of processes and studies of the information architecture of various digital resources.
