Abstract
Dear Reader, in your hands you are holding a work that is a detailed study of archaeological monuments from the medieval village of Strożyska. Here you will find detailed information about the discovered remains of houses, pits and places associated with production (workshops). Medieval material products such as elements of clothing, tools, everyday objects and – the most common – ceramic products were also taken into account. A lot of attention was paid to the subject of the production of vessels, of which several thousand fragments were found. All of them were described, and a significant part was graphically edited. Based on their analysis, it was possible to obtain a handful of information about medieval rural pottery production. This is all the more important because this subject has not been discussed in the context of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship so far. Excavations in Strożyska, conducted in the so-called rescue mode, show how much valuable evidence of past times is still hidden underground and how methodical study of them allows us to learn about our past.
